Gloria Barkley majored in painting and minored in clay sculpture at Emily Carr University when it was called Vancouver School of Art (1968). Ill health prevented her from working in clay until around 1995. She prefers handbuilding non-functional clay pieces. Gloria exhibits her work in metro Vancouver, B.C.  and earned Honourary Mention in a recent  Fraser Valley Potters Guild show at Evergreen Cultural Centre, Coquitlam, B.C. Gloria’s work is in private collections.
